Normandy School Collaborative Partners with Tech Electronics to Upgrade Network

Collaborative invests $1.2 million into IT network to support modern learning environment

St. Louis, MO (February 17, 2017) – Normandy School Collaborative selected Tech Electronics for its district-wide network infrastructure upgrade. The Collaborative is investing $1.2 million into replacing its current IT infrastructure. The project awarded in early February is slated for completion by this Spring.

“Our current IT Infrastructure is the result of many years of patchwork fixes, leaving us with a system that is unreliable and slow,” says Randal Charles, Asst. Superintendent of Operations for Normandy Schools Collaborative. “With the purchase of laptops and Chromebooks for students and staff the demand on the network has increased, magnifying existing problems.”

Tech Electronics will be implementing the new infrastructure for the districts’ six elementary schools, 7th and 8th-grade center, high school and administration buildings. “We are excited to deliver a solution that can help support today’s digital learning environment,” says Scott Knapp, Education Market Director for Tech Electronics.

The new infrastructure will aid in the districts’ plans to create classrooms, libraries and labs that utilize modern day technology. The district also has a no tax increase bond issue going before votes on April 4th, 2017. If it passes Normandy will likely construct a new school building and perform upgrades to libraries, science labs and computer labs in several existing buildings.
