University High School
Project Overview:
University High School is a private college preparatory high school located in Carmel, Indiana. The school was founded in 2000 after a perceived shortage of independent high school opening for qualified students. Since opening its doors, University High School has striven to nurture excellence through academic, creative and physical achievement. As a part of their mission to achieve physical excellence, University High School has an outstanding athletics program, one of those programs being boys and girls soccer. Although the Trailblazers soccer program was thriving, the field did not have a sound system to engage the crowd. The school turned to the Parent’s Club to help generate funds for the first-ever sound system for the soccer fields. Once the funding was in place, University High School reached out to Tech Electronics for a solution.
Hear what John Walls, University High School’s Athletic Director has to say about the solution and Tech Electronics in his interview with Kevin Conrad, Education Account Manager for Tech Electronics of Indiana.
Solution:
“This was a unique install,” says Conrad. “There is no press box on the field, therefore speakers are connected to an overhang next to the soccer field.” To ensure the highest sound quality and deliver a user friendly solution, Tech Electronics designed and installed the following:
- High Efficiency, Weather Resistant Speakers – with projection capabilities provide full coverage the stadium
- Dual Channel Amplifiers – for amplifying sound in different areas of the space
- Wireless Microphone System – to make announcements and special introductions on the field
- Professional Single CD Player with Bluetooth Capability – for pre-recorded music needing to be amplified
- Mixing Console – to route multiple input audio signals to various portions of the space.
The Trailblazers now have a soccer field equipped with state-of-the-art technology. With the successful completion of the sound system for the soccer fields, University High School is looking to implement a similar solution for their gymnasium.
